Registering a '.com.au' domain name reflects the fact that the majority of customers you wish to target are within Australia, and registering '.com' domain name reflects the fact that you also wish to attract International visitors to your site. What if I already own a domain name?
You may have registered a domain name elsewhere and simply want to take advantage of our hosting or web design services. We will easily transfer your domain name to ADD-IT. This service is free.
How do I rent space from you, and where is this space ?
You have a few hosting options available to you but, the most affordable option for small to medium size websites is shared hosting. Your web site will share space on a secure server with other websites. For extra stability your email is managed on a separate mail server. Think of it like renting office space in a large commercial or industrial building. ADD-IT provides you with the support and services you need to rent this available space.
Could I design my own website and upload it to my space ?
Yes! There are many web design packages available that allow you to create professional web sites. Examples include, Macromedia Dreamweaver or MicroSoft FrontPage. Many of our clients decide to design their own sites and we will assist you as much as we can in this process. Web design can be difficult and time consuming, leave it to us to create a professional marketing tool for you or have a preferred designer design the look and feel and we will host it for you.
How do I promote my website?
We recommend placing your new web address, and email address on all of your printed material and advertising including business cards.
